Fintel Home Group

We meet every Thursday, with arrival time any time after 6 p.m. We usually start eating dinner at 6:30 p.m. and begin our Bible study shortly after 7 p.m. Our discussions follow Pastor Matt’s sermon from the previous Sunday. Our group is wonderfully diverse, with children ranging from newborns to teenagers, mainly between the ages of 3-8. We also have members without children, so we warmly welcome all demographics and life stages. The leadership at SV provides insightful questions and thoughts on the sermon to help guide our conversations, which we greatly appreciate.

 

Our home group is more than just a Thursday evening gathering; we are a close-knit community that supports each other through life’s ups and downs. We celebrate children’s birthdays, rally around one another during challenging times, and enjoy fellowship during holidays. Last year, for example, we had an egg hunt alongside our Easter celebrations and a gingerbread house competition during Christmas, creating great memories!

 

We are guided by the words of Matthew 5:13-16, where Jesus calls us to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. We strive to embody these principles, shining brightly in our community and seasoning our lives with the love and grace of Christ.
